Representative Taher Al-Battat confirmed that Basra's hosting of 25th Arabian Gulf Cup will be a gateway to open economic horizons between Iraq and the Gulf countries.
Al-Battat told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today Sunday, that "the hosting of the Basra Al-Fayhaa Governorate for the competitions of the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup in its twenty-fifth edition will be a gateway to opening broad horizons for investment and cooperation between Iraq and the Arab Gulf countries."
Al-Battat added, "The presence of Gulf delegations and seeing the security reality in Basra and the rest of the provinces will send a message of reassurance to companies and investors to work in Iraq."
He confirmed, "Basra with the efforts of the governorate and the supporting institutions, is ready and fully prepared to receive the fraternal countries and host this great sporting event."
