A spokesman for the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority ICAA, Jihad Al-Diwan, confirmed Thursday that all preparations have been completed at Basra Airport to receive Gulf Cup 25th delegations, which will start on January 6, 2023.
Al-Diwan told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Thursday, that "the Civil Aviation Authority, under the direction of its president, Imad Al-Asadi, has formed a crisis cell to solve the problems and needs of Basra Airport, provide services to national and Arab carriers, and facilitate flights that will transport delegations of Arab teams and fans, and now the airport is ready."
Al-Diwan added that "the head of the Civil Aviation Authority will be present before the opening of the tournament in Basra to facilitate and follow up on all procedures and services for the arrivals to the province," pointing out that "all departments of the airport are fully prepared to contain any momentum that occurs and deal with it professionally and smoothly to receive the arrivals from the fans and teams participating in the Championship".
