General Secretariat: Building a mosque, a church, and a center for interfaith dialogue in Ur city

    The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers confirmed  today, Tuesday, that its visiting delegation to Dhi Qar Governorate was informed of the developments in the process of developing the ancient city of Ur, referring to preparations to build a mosque, a church, and a center for interfaith dialogue.
     
     
    The spokesman for the General Secretariat, Haider Majeed, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The delegation's tour included a visit to the ancient city of Ur to see the latest developments in the archaeological city and direct to the tourist city."
    Majeed pointed out that "there is a process of installing identification plates, surveillance cameras, and some devices and equipment, and maintaining the city's infrastructure, and preparations are continuing to build a church, a mosque, and a center for interfaith dialogue."
    He added, "The delegation's tour also included Nasiriyah International Airport, which is a vital and important project for all of Iraq, not only for Dhi Qar, which includes a comprehensive rehabilitation of the airport, including the former tarmac and the control tower, as well as the construction of a new runway to accommodate giant aircraft."
    Majeed noted, "There will be great interest in air freight, as well as building an airport administration, a hotel, and the rest of the vital facilities, and this will contribute to employing the labor force in the province and improving the economic reality."
