Egyptian-Iraqi Higher Committee to sign protocols in various fields

     Karam Gabr, Head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR), announced on Monday, the formation of a higher committee between Baghdad and Cairo to sign protocols in various fields, including the media.

    Gabr told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "I visited Iraq three times during the last four years, and I noticed that in each visit there is progress and prosperity in the capital, as well as security and stability in it."
     
    He added, "The exchanging experiences between Iraq and Egypt, and a civil economic cooperation project between the two countries, will open the field of work for young people, new investments, and openness to the world,” Pointing out that ,it was agreed that there would be a cooperation protocol in which it would deal with several matters, including the establishment of an Egyptian-Iraqi platform to promote joint projects and issues between the two countries on a permanent and continuous basis, as well as agreement on training programs and that there would be mutual visits between the two countries."
     
    He pointed out that "Egyptian foreign policy has a strategy, and the media is working on this strategy, which includes respect for countries and peoples and their will and non-interference in their affairs," noting that "Egypt has a strong belief in Arab solidarity, in turn will solve many of the region's problems."
     
    Gabr confirmed, "It is scheduled that there will be an Iraqi-Egyptian higher committee that will sign protocols in all fields, including the media field," noting that "tourist cooperation is very important, especially since Iraq has great tourist potentials and treasures, and Egypt too, but the matter requires intensive cooperation in the field of media to shed light on the tourist places between the two countries.

     
    He added, "Egypt is serious about helping Iraq to return to the Arab world, in addition to Iraq's assistance to Egypt in its extensive presence," pointing out that "Iraq is the only country that can mediate between Iran and all the Gulf countries, as the relationship between Baghdad and Tehran can invest for the benefit of the Arabs.
