Popular Mobilization Forces PMF announced Friday that it foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorist of Daesh, south of Samarra.

A statement by PMF , which was received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "a force from the Popular Mobilization Forces managed to foil an infiltration attempt by terrorist Daesh elements south of Samarra."

The statement added, "A force from the 41st Brigade of the Popular Mobilization foiled an attempt to infiltration by Daesh terrorist elements in the Yathrib district, south of Samarra," noting that "after monitoring their attempts with cameras, they were handled with light and medium weapons, and they were forced to flee and retreat."
