Jordan's King Abdullah II confirmed today, Tuesday, that the stability of Iraq is an essential pillar for the stability of the region.
Abdullah said in his speech during the second Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, which was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman. “The second Baghdad summit conference confirms Iraq's pivotal role and that Iraq's stability is a cornerstone of the region," stressing "support for Iraq's efforts in support of its security and sovereignty and the promotion of regional cooperation.
He pointed out that "energy supplies and dealing with climate change are among the most prominent challenges facing the region and the world," pointing out that "there is an urgent need for stability in the region, cooperation, and addressing issues of poverty and unemployment."
