MOFA: Details of Baghdad Conf. for Cooperation and Partnership in Jordan

    Ministry of Foreign Affairs - MOFA revealed on Monday, the details of Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, the second session, which will be held tomorrow in Jordan.

    The Kingdom of Jordan will host Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, the 2nd session on December 20th, 2022 at King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center, the Dead Sea, according to ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
     
    He noted, "The conference will be held to confirm the support of the participating countries for Iraq in several files, including Iraq's sovereignty, security and stability, as well as supporting the political process, the economy, development process and reconstruction, in a way that meets the aspirations of the Iraqi people," adding that "the objectives of the summit are that the conference will discuss ways to support Iraq and the efforts it is making to enhance its security and sovereignty, ensure its stability, and achieve development and prosperity for its people."

    "This comes in addition to developing regional cooperation mechanisms with Iraq in a number of areas that include Counter-Terrorism, food security, water security, energy and other areas that contribute to supporting it, as well as discussing regional cooperation mechanisms that achieve integration, security and stability in the region," he added.

    Al-Sahaf highlighted, "the participants of Baghdad Conference 1st session, are in the 2nd too in addition to Oman, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Union," stressing that "the Kingdom of Jordan, as the host country for the conference, will invite ambassadors of Arab countries, European Union countries, the G20 and permanent members of the Security Council accredited who has to attend the opening session of the conference as a guest."
