    His Eminence, the Grand Ayatollah, Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, offered his condolences on the passing of the religious authority, Sayyid Muhammad Sadiq al-Rouhani.
     
    A statement by Al-Sistani's office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated: "We offer condolences on the passing of the high-ranking scholar, Ayatollah Haj Sayed Muhammad Sadeq Hussein Al-Rouhani (may Allah be pleased with him)."
