Iraq: Oil-for-development agreement is a link to Norway

    Prime Minister Muhammed Shia Al-Sudani stressed on Wednesday, the need to enhance common interests and activate the oil-for-development agreement linking Iraq and Norway.

    Al-Sudani received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Iraq, Aspen Lindbeck where they discussed the overall bilateral relations between the two countries and aspects of cooperation in various fields, according to a statement by the media office of the Prime Minister received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    They discussed strengthening the partnership in the field of exchanging experiences within the natural resources management sector, and enhancing capabilities in facing climate change - its economic and environmental effects.

    PM Al-Sudani asserted to the ambassador, "the necessity of enhance common interests, activating the oil-for-development agreement that links the two friendly countries, and raising the level of work in addition to the bilateral coordination on regional and international issues, and files of common concern."
