The Canadian Ambassador to Iraq Gregory Galligan,, confirmed on Wednesday, that the Iraq International Book Fair is one of the most important cultural activities, praising the good organization of the fair.
A statement by the General Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services, affiliated to the Ministry of Commerce, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Canadian Ambassador to Baghdad Gregory Galligan visited the Iraq International Book Fair, and met with the Director General of Iraqi Exhibitions, Zahra Al-Gilani."
Galligan stressed that "the Iraq International Book Fair is one of the most important exhibitions dealing with cultural activity," appreciating "the role of the Iraqi General Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services in hosting such exhibitions that contribute to the intellectual and cultural development of Iraqi society," praising the good organization of the exhibition."
It is noteworthy that the Iraq International Book Fair, in its third session, opened last Wednesday, on the grounds of the Baghdad International Fair, with the participation of 350 publishing houses from 20 countries, and it will conclude on the eighteenth of this month.
