President Abdel Latif Jamal Rashid stressed today, Monday, with National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji the need to intensify security and intelligence efforts in border control.
The media office of the President of the Republic said, in a statement that "the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received at the Baghdad Palace, the National Security Adviser, Qasim Al-Araji," noting that "during the meeting, the security situation was discussed, as the President confirmed, the need to support government efforts in imposing the law, enhancing stability, and ensuring the security and safety of citizens, explaining the importance of preserving and sustaining the security achievements that have been achieved in a way that serves the citizen and enhances his confidence in the state.
According to the statement "It was emphasized that security and intelligence efforts should be intensified in Border control, pursuing the remaining ISIS terrorist, and combating organized crime gangs in order to preserve the security and interests of citizens and the country."
