Capturing a drug trafficking gang in Al-Karrada, SMC reports

The Security Media Cell-SMC announced on Thursday, capturing of a gang specialized in drug trafficking in al-Karrada area in Baghdad.

"The detachments of Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate affiliated to the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security managed to arrest a gang specialized in the trade and promotion of narcotic substances in al-Karrada area in Baghdad, after setting up ambush based on accurate intelligence information," SMC said in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency (INA).

The statement added, "The gang consisted of four members, who were captured in possession of narcotics and other tools used in drug use."
