The President of the Republic, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, received on Saturday, a congratulatory message from King Harald V of Norway on his election.
"The President of the Republic, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, received a congratulatory message from King Harald V of Norway on his election," A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated.
The text of the letter stated: "President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdullatif Rashid, on the occasion of your election as the country's new President., I extend to you my warmest congratulations and best wishes, and to the Iraqi people for prosperity."
