Launching new preemptive operation within Diyala sector, PMF reports

The Popular Mobilization Forces-PMF announced on Saturday, carrying out a pre-emptive operation within Diyala Governorate sector.
 
“Diyala operations command at PMF has carried out according to accurate intelligence information, new operation against the terrorist remnants, in Ain Laila area, which is considered a safe haven for the terrorists," The commander of Diyala operations at PMF Talib al-Moussawi, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
He added, "The operation was carried out from two main axes: a northern axis led by the 23rd Brigade of PMF and a southern axis led by the 62nd Brigade of PMF."
 
He pointed out, "The security operation aims to hinder any opportunity to exploit any security gap by ISIS terrorist gangs and its remnants  ."
