Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed today, Tuesday, that the decision to cancel the caretaker government’s diwani orders came in compliance with the decisions of the Federal Court, While revealing the government's efforts to issue decisions to support the local product and poor groups, he pointed out that fighting corruption requires real, unconventional decisions.
Al-Sudani said during a press conference held in Baghdad and attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “everyone is concerned with the success of the government’s mission, and the cabinet session today confirmed the government’s vision in its work for the next stage, and we have identified three weeks for the ministries to prepare the government program, and there will be a committee that coordinates with the ministries on the issue program writing.
He added, "The fourth week will discuss the government program and its approval in the Council of Ministers, and there will be an evaluation of the ministries and governorates, setting goals and programs according to the priorities of the ministerial programme," pointing out that "in the government, we will go in the government program to the priorities, which are addressing poverty and unemployment, combating corruption, economic reforms and providing services”.
He continued, "We issued directives to the ministries that we visited related to specific topics pursued by a team of advisors, and directives were issued regarding strengthening the strategic storage of the ration card items."
Regarding the health file, Al-Sudani confirmed, "We will go towards implementing the health insurance law, and we will make agreements with specialized companies to operate hospitals according to their regulations, while completing lagging projects in the health sector."
Regarding the security file, he stressed that "the security establishment must be kept away from any political investment," stressing that "the security services are concerned with preserving the status of the state."
The Prime Minister announced the term of the corruption pandemic, stressing that “the corruption pandemic is a serious threat to the Iraqi state, and fighting it is a priority for the government and citizens want to hold the perpetrators of corruption accountable and recover the stolen money.
He pointed out that "the main criterion for evaluating ministers is their measures to fight corruption, and they need real, non-traditional procedures," noting that "the procedures for recovering stolen amounts from tax deposits are ongoing and It is monitored on a daily basis."
Regarding Iraq's foreign relations "We met with several representatives in Iraq and found that there is support for Iraq, and we in the government have compassed Iraq's interest and establishing balanced relations with all countries, and Iraq's natural role is to be the pivot in the region. The prime minister said.
