Sauli Niinistö: We look forward to maintaining and developing relations between Iraq and Finland

President Abdellatif Jamal Rashid received congratulations from the President of the Republic of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, on his election as President of the Republic.

The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Finnish President Sauli Niinistö, in his telegram, congratulated the President of the Republic, wishing him success in his work."

In his telegram, President Sauli Niinisto referred to the "long-term bilateral friendship relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of Finland," expressing his aspiration to "sustain and develop them in a manner that serves the interests of the peoples of the two friendly countries."
