President Abdullatif Rashid expressed on Monday,  his hope for quick formation of the new government, while stressing that all efforts will be made to protect the constitution.

"I thank the supreme religious authority and representatives of the Iraqi people for giving me their confidence,” he said in a speech during his inauguration ceremony as President of the Republic, at the Al-salam Palace in Baghdad, which was attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

During his speech, the President of the Republic recalled the wounded and martyrs of the armed forces of all kinds.

Rashid added, “Establishing strong relations with neighboring countries and the international community."

He continued, "Before I start , I will announce to the Iraqi people my work program ."
