Security operation launched in Kirkuk: PMF

The Popular Mobilization Forces PMF announced on Sunday the launch of a security operation in Kirkuk province.

PMF said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "a force from the 40th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces began today, a raid, search and clearance operation located near the Zab River in Kirkuk province."

"The operation aims to pursue terrorist elements after receiving intelligence that ISIS elements infiltrated some villages to threaten citizens in the province," PMF said.
