The Prime Minister-designate, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, discussed with the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Bafel Jalal Talabani, the new government's program and strategy.
A statement by Al-Sudani's office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani met with Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and during the meeting, they discussed the new government's program and strategy, as well as unifying efforts to be a national service government that meets the demands of citizens.".
He added, "During the meeting, Talabani congratulated Al-Sudani on his assignment to form a government, wishing him success in his mission.
For his part, Al-Sudani praised Talabani's efforts to make this national step a success, stressing that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan is a sincere partner for us and we will move together towards building a more prosperous future."
