The Arab Parliament congratulates Rashid and assigning Al-Sudani

The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asumi, today, Friday, congratulated Abdul Latif Rashid for his election as President of Iraq, and Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani for assigning him to form the new government.

A statement by the Arab Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, today congratulated President Abdul Latif Rashid, on the occasion of his election and taking the constitutional oath as President of the sisterly Republic of Iraq, as well as the State of Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.

Al-Asumi expressed, according to the statement, "his wishes to the Iraqi president and prime minister success in their mission," calling on all political forces in Iraq to "cooperate and provide support for them to maintain the country's stability, in these critical moments that it is going through, in order to achieve national consensus." .
