The head of the Basra Football Association, Badr Nasser Al-Badr, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Friday, that "the recent visit of the Gulf delegation to the facilities and stadiums of Basra was a very successful visit, and it gave the green light to give confidence in the establishment of the 25th Gulf Championship in Basra.".
He added that "Basra today is ready and based on convictions received by the head and members of the Gulf delegation after the visit and review of the stadiums, including the Al-Mina stadium, as well as to view the hotels and tourist facilities.".
Al-Badr explained that "today we have to seek, find and complete all requirements related to the establishment of this tournament through the central and local government, as well as the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Football Association, and all the people concerned in this regard in order to show the bright image of Iraq.".
