The Parliament begins a secret ballot to choose the President of the Republic

The Parliament began Thursday a secret vote to choose the President of the Republic.

The Media Department of the Parliament stated, in a brief statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Parliament began with a secret vote to choose the President of the Republic."

 Today, Thursday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi inaugurated the work of Session No. 6, related to the election of the President of the Republic.

 The Media Department of the Parliament announced, after the session, that it had submitted a request to withdraw the nomination of Reber Ahmed and Omar Al-Barzanji, for the position of President of the Republic to the presidency of the Council.
