With the approaching date of the parliament session, during which the President of the Republic will be chosen on the seventh of this month, the compass for completing the constitutional entitlements to choose a president for the country is still not clear.  Politics are on all possibilities in order to meet the constitutional requirements.

Meanwhile, law export Ali Al-Tamimi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The President of the Republic, according to Article 67 of the Iraqi Constitution to Article 73, is the symbol of the country's unity, and he is the protector of the constitution, represents the country's sovereignty, and ensures its sovereignty and independence, and conditions have been set, to elect the President of the Republic, whether in Article 68 or in the Presidential Nomination Law No. 8 of 2012, which stipulates that he should pan Iraqi, of Iraqi parents, of full legal capacity, and has completed his forty years of age, recognized for his integrity, and has not been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude, and this law has the same conditions, where the names are submitted to Parliament and the applicant is given a receipt in agreement, and then the names of the people who have accepted are announced.

On his part, the law expert, Majid Majbas, confirmed to the Iraqi News Agency, that "after the election of the parliament's presidency and according to the constitution, the president of the republic must be chosen within 30 days, and the time is still within this period," noting that the Federal Court's decision gave room for political understandings.
He pointed out that "the scene is more complicated in the matter of forming a government."

Law expert Saud Al-Agaili told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the movement of conflicts between the political blocs is raging in order to obtain a place in the next government, and with the approaching date of the next session to choose the President of the Republic, the movements of the political blocs have increased in recent days through holding meetings between the political parties and the blocs for the purpose of not exceeding the constitutional period.”

Meanwhile, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan says that Barham Salih is the most likely to take over the presidency, while it indicated that the dialogue with the Democratic Party was closed.

Union Representative Suzan Mansour said, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The presence of Barham Salih was more positive than other candidates, describing him as a" real statesman."

The spokesman for the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Mahmoud Muhammad, said, in a statement to Rudaw channel, which was monitored by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Hoshyar Zebari is the candidate of the party and will not withdraw," noting that "so far we do not have a date for a meeting with the Patriotic Union."

The Federal Supreme Court issued a clarification regarding the constitutional article on the election of the President of the Republic.

According to the documents received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "the request came based on what was submitted by the President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih, regarding the interpretation of Article (70/First) of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq for the year 2005, that the two-thirds majority  must be available to initiate a vote on the election of a president.

Meanwhile, the Federal Court rejected the lawsuit filed regarding the largest bloc and made room for its submission after the election of the President of the Republic.
