The head of Hakima National Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, discussed on Monday, with the special representative of UN Secretary-General for the Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert, the political developments in Iraq and the mechanisms for ending the political blockage and forming the next government.
"The head of Hakima National Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, met with special representative of UN Secretary-General for the Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert, the two sides exchanged views on the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the mechanisms for ending the political blockage and forming the next government," The media office of Al-Hakim said in a statement by the, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Sayyed Al-Hakim and Plasschaert called for "the formation of a national service government capable of providing services, providing job opportunities and restoring the citizen's confidence in the political system," stressing "the role of UNAMI in Iraq and the importance of strengthening cooperation in all fields."
