INA- BAGHDAD
Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Thursday the summoning of the Iranian ambassador and handing him a hard-hitting protest letter.
The spokesman for the ministry, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Iranian ambassador in Baghdad was summoned and handed a hard-hitting protest letter due to the continuous bombing operations on areas in the Kurdistan region."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Wednesday the artillery and missile targeting of areas in Kurdistan by the Iranian side, while indicating that it will rely on anything that ensures that this act is not repeated in the highest diplomatic positions.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health in Kurdistan Region announced the death of 9 people and the injury of 32 others as a result of Iranian bombing of areas in the region.
