The Public Security Directorate in Jordan confirmed today, Tuesday, the collapse of a four-storey building in the capital, Amman.
The directorate said in a statement that "a four-story inhabited building collapsed in the Al-Lweibdeh area in the capital, Amman."
Local media reported that attempts were underway to rescue a child stuck under the wreckage.
For its part, Al-Mamlaka TV confirmed that Jordanian Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh arrived at the accident site and decided to open an investigation to find out the causes of the building collapse accident, while the Public Security Directorate confirmed that 5 injured people were evacuated as a result of the collapse, and some of them were supplied with oxygen.
