Al-Araji: Al-Kadhimi issued instructions to protect embassies and missions operating in Iraq

    The National Security Adviser Qassim Al-Araji confirmed on Sunday that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, issued strict instructions to the security forces to protect embassies and missions operating in Iraq.


    The media office of the National Security Adviser said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) "National Security Adviser Qassim Al-Araji received, in his office today Sunday, the Bulgarian Chargé d'Affairs in Baghdad, Nikola Draganov," noting that "during the meeting reviewed relations between Iraq and Bulgaria, and emphasized the importance of cooperation and partnership in areas that serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples". 

    Al-Araji stressed, according to the statement, that Iraq is keen to develop its relations with Bulgaria in various fields of cooperation, including military and security, as well as technology transfer and cooperation with the Iraqi Military Industrialization Authority.


    He pointed out that the stability of Iraq is the stability of the region, and that the unity of the Iraqi people is an important issue, and preserving sovereignty is a sacred thing for the Iraqis.
