FSC rejects the lawsuit to dissolve Parliament

    the Federal supreme Court(FSC) announced on Wednesday, the response to the case for dissolving Parliament, while noting that the penalty imposes on Parliament for not carrying out its constitutional duties is to solve it when there are justification.

     

    "the members of the parliament  after their election do not represent themselves or their political blocs, but rather the people, and therefore they were required  to work to achieve what they were elected for, which is the interest of the people, not to be a reason for disrupting his interests and threatening his safety and the safety of the entire country," FSC said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

     

    The stability of the political process requires everyone to abide by the provisions of the Constitution and not to exceed it.

    No authority may continue to exceed the constitutional periods indefinitely because this is a violation of the constitution.

    The statement added that" The Constitution of Iraq of 2005 Drawing up the constitutional mechanism for dissolving Parliament in accordance with the provisions of Article 64 / first thereof, "pointing out that," article 93 of the Constitution and Article 4 of the Federal Court Law do not include the dissolution of the Parliament

    It pointed out that "the general reality in the country has declined significantly, whether at the service level or at the level of the spread of financial and administrative corruption, which has affected, in a very large way, the citizen's confidence in state institutions, as well as greatly affected the standard of living of the people."
