The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR), Nabil Kazem Abdel Sahib, confirmed on Sunday, the readiness of Iraqi universities to receive Syrian students.
"the Minister of Education discussed, during his meeting with the Syrian Ambassador in Baghdad, Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah, the possibilities of scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries, and framing cultural exchange programs, in light of the understanding between higher education and research institutions science in the two brotherly countries, “The media office of the Ministry of MOHESR confirmed in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The Minister of MOHESR, during the meeting, which was attended by the Director General of the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations in the Ministry of Higher Education, Hazem Baqir Taher, that academic institutions in Iraq are keen to develop coordination and development paths for cultural exchange and sustainable academic cooperation in accordance with the determinants and standards of scientific sobriety," The statement added.
For his part, the Syrian ambassador valued "the MOHESR keenness to develop areas of cooperation and improve the quality of programs for academic understandings and agreements with countries in the region and the world."
