Manchester United coach, Eric Ten Hag, confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will continue with the "Red Devils" this season .

Press reports claimed earlier, that Ronaldo submitted an official request to leave Manchester United during the current summer transfer period, in order to join a team that guarantees him participation in the Champions League after United failed to reserve his seat in the prestigious continental championship .

Ten Hag was asked during a press conference on the eve of the match between United and Brentford, scheduled for later today, Saturday, in the second round of the English Premier League, whether Ronaldo really wanted to leave, and the Dutch coach replied, "This is your assumption, not what Ronaldo tells me ." .

Hague added: "I deal with the players we have, and we plan for this season with Ronaldo, and we have to catch him in the team ."

He concluded: "Ronaldo must reach the appropriate levels of physical fitness, so that he can play the role that we expect from him this season ."

The Manchester United coach has not yet announced his team's squad for the Brentford match, but Ronaldo is expected to be on the list, but his participation in the starting lineup remains in doubt .
