Salih offers condolences on the anniversary of Imam Hussein martyrdom (peace be upon him)

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, offered today, Monday, condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him .(

Salih said in a statement that "on this great occasion, the timeless incident of Tuff, where Abu Al-Ahrar Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) revolted against injustice, I offer my sincere condolences to the Iraqi people and to the Islamic nation, and to the supreme authority in holy Najaf, he pointed out that “The exploits depicted by the Ashura epic transcend the boundaries of time and space until it became an example for all of humanity that does not stop at a doctrine, sect, or nationality, in order to achieve the right and resist injustice and tyranny, no matter how high the costs, and thus, the imam’s sacrifice became a luminous and renewed way on the path of freedom.
