Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed today, Wednesday, that the presence of a new parliament and government constitute additional support for stability.
The Prime Minister's media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani met in Sulaymaniyah today, Wednesday, with the head of the New Generation Movement, Shaswar Abdul Wahid."
At the beginning of the meeting, al-Sudani congratulated "the success of the electoral process in the region," and stressed that "the presence of a new parliament and government constitute additional support for stability," noting "the necessity of meeting citizens' requirements to enhance their confidence in the electoral process and complete the entitlements related to the federal government in light of the understandings and cooperation to settle all files."
For his part, the head of the New Generation Movement expressed his thanks to the Prime Minister, "for his keenness to communicate with all political forces and his standing at the same distance from everyone," stressing that "the government has proven its ability to provide what calls for its support and assistance in order to proceed with the implementation of its program."
