A security operation launched in Amerli’s vicinity: PMF

Popular Mobilization Forces announced Thursday the launch of a security operation in the vicinity of the city of Amerli.

PMF said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The river regiment of the Northern Operations Command in the Popular Mobilization, carried out an inspection operation in the vicinity of the city of Amerli."

PMF added, "The operation came under the guidance of the controlling headquarters in Tuz Khurmatu for joint operations with the aim of pursuing ISIS remnants within the targets drawn in the vicinity of the city of Amerli and securing them from explosive devices."
