Sheikh Salah al-Obeidi, spokesman for the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, confirmed that the nomination of the coordinating framework of Muhammad Shia al-Sudani crushed the project of the independent government.
Al-Obaidi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the frameworks' calls for dialogue are a new attempt to defraud," noting that "the instincts of the framework leaders pushed them to circumvent their project, which they proposed that the next government be purely for the independents more than a month before the resignation of the Sadrist bloc."
He added that "Sadr's order for the resignation of his bloc was a last opportunity for them to implement their promises of patriotism," noting that "everyone who went with a particular team lost the title of independence, whether with the framework or saving a homeland blocs."
