PMF thwart sneak attempt by ISIS in Tarmiyah

The Popular Mobilization Authority announced that it thwarted an infiltration attempt by ISIS in the Tarmiyah district, north of Baghdad.

The body stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "a force from the 12th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization repelled an attack by ISIS that targeted the Tarmiyah district, north of Baghdad, and the force was able to thwart an ISIS attempt to infiltrate to the district and carry out terrorist operations."

Popular Mobilization Body added, "The PMF's 12th Brigade began a massive deployment in Tarmiyah district to secure it and conduct security sweeps in search and pursuit of fleeing ISIS elements."
