Launching of a security operation south of Al-Qaim district, PMF reports

The Popular Mobilization force (PMF) announced on Thursday, the launch of a security operation south of Al-Qaim district.

PMF said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "a force from the army and the PMF began an inspection operation in the south of Al-Qaim district."

The Statement added, "The areas (southeast of the Okaz gas fields, Manakh forest, Bunyan Sehali and Daya) were searched, the information of the people present was checked."

It explained , "The army and PMF are continuing their preemptive operations in a strategic framework to end any presence of ISIS remnants within the responsibility sectors in Anbar Governorate."
