The Minister of Youth and Sports, President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Darjal, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the Council of Ministers will hold a meeting next Thursday on the Gulf 25 and attracting foreign training cadres for the national team.
Darjal said after the cabinet session, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi directed, in the regular session of the Council of Ministers today, all ministries to cooperate and coordinate to prepare ways to ensure the success of Gulf 25 in Basra, and to overcome all difficulties in front of this hosting to be An exceptional championship and showing it in the best way.”.
Darjal stressed the government’s keenness to complete everything related to this tournament, as well as the great passion of our fans and their anticipation for the date of its establishment, so that it will be the second organized by Iraq after the first was held in Baghdad in 1979, pointing out that “the Council of Ministers will be held next Thursday (7/28/ 2022) an expanded meeting to discuss the logistical matters and financial allocations for the tournament, and to attract foreign training owners to lead the national team in the next stage.”
Dargal concluded his speech by saying: “I extend my sincere thanks to the Prime Minister and the ministers, for their continuous support for Iraqi sports in general, and their national teams and teams. And sincere to the success of the 25th Gulf Championship, and embracing the brothers in Basra, and the next stage will be the most important and most effort because it requires all of us to strive to provide the best atmosphere for the championship.”
