JOC: The investigative committees have begun an investigation into the Turkish bombing

    The Joint Operations Command (JOC ) announced on Thursday, that the Turkish bombing of Dohuk killed nine people and wounded 22 others, while noting that the investigative committees had begun an investigation into the bombing.

    The spokesman for the JOC, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "it was agreed yesterday with officials in the Kurdistan region to hold a funeral for the bodies of the martyrs and transfer them with the Air Force, by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa al-Kadhimi."

    Al-Khafaji added, "The bodies of the martyrs were transported and their funerals were carried out by Air Force planes," noting that "their number reached 9 martyrs, while the number of the wounded reached 22, including a critical condition, who were kept in intensive care in Dohuk Governorate."

    He continued: "The rest of the wounded had minor injuries and recovered and were transferred to Baghdad," declaring that "investigations have begun to find out the circumstances of the accident."
