Ministry of Foreign Affairs – MOFA confirmed on Wednesday, that the Iraqi diplomatic response to the Turkish bombing of the city of Dohuk, which led to the death of 9 people and the injury of 23 others, will not be traditional and will be in terms of steps.
"MOFA issued a strongly worded statement rejecting the Turkish aggression and the diplomatic response to the Turkish bombardment will be sequential and successive as it will not be traditional," said the Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf to Al-Iraqiya News TV, followed up by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
He noted, "After submitting a complaint to the Security Council, Iraq expects a resolution condemning this attack as a violation of Iraq's sovereignty and an infringement on the dignity of its citizens."
"Iraq has many cards of power, foremost of which is the economic card to respond to the attack,” he highlighted.
