The mayor of Dohuk, Mushir Muhammad Bashir, explained the details of the bombing incident in Dohuk, while confirming that all the victims were tourists from central and southern Iraq.
Bashir told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the accident was caused by artillery shelling, and its toll rose to 9 martyrs and 23 wounded, all of whom were tourists from central and southern Iraq."
He added, "This is the third time that the village of Barkh in Zakho has been subjected to a similar bombardment, and it is only 10 kilometers from the Iraqi-Turkish border."
