Iraqi National Security service (INSS) announced on Thursday, the seizure of 25 kilograms of hashish, west of Nineveh province.
A statement by the INSS, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: "Within the intensive efforts to curb the phenomenon of drug spread, a force from the INSS in western Nineveh province, after receiving intelligence information and obtaining judicial approvals, was able to arrest a drug dealer in possession of about (25) kg of cannabis, and after setting up a tight ambush, he was arrested."
The statement added that "the statements of the accused were duly recorded, and he was referred, along with the seizures, to the competent legal authorities to take the necessary measures against him."
