Ministry of Interior (MOI) announced on Wednesday, the deportation of 5,772 foreigners who violate the residency conditions from Iraqi territory since the beginning of 2022.
Legal Colonel Muhannad Shahid Khattar in the MOI told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The number of expelled foreigners for the year 2022, until yesterday, Tuesday, is 5772 violators of various foreign nationalities."
Khattar added, "The measures followed against violators are imposing a delay fine under the Foreigners Residence Law No. 76 of 2017, amounting to 500,000 Iraqi dinars."
He pointed out, "Under the direction of the MOI, the minimum fine for foreign violators and arrested persons is 100,000 Iraqi dinars, for the ease of their deportation and the deportation of the largest number of foreign violators."
