Zidane wants to be France coach: ‘My deep desire’

Zinedine Zidane has a big dream: one day to coach the French national team. He revealed that in an interview with the French L’Equipe.
“My deep longing is there. The French team is the most beautiful thing there is,” enthused the 108-time national player.

Zidane himself has long been considered one of the best midfield directors in the world. In 155 competitive games for Real Madrid, he won the Champions League in 2002 and became world footballer three times. He later returned as a coach: in two tenures as Real Madrid coach, he was on the touchline in 263 games. “Zizou” is apparently planning a similar comeback for the national team.

He collected plenty of arguments for employment as a national coach at Real. Zidane is the only manager to have won the Champions League three times in a row.
