Security operation launched in Diyala

Diyala Operations Command carried out Wednesday a security operation in a number of villages in the province.

 A statement by the Security Media Cell, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Diyala Operations Command, through the 1st Infantry Division, began carrying out a duty in the 1st Division sector to inspect the village of Mahmoud Al-Ali, the village of Idris, the village of Sheikh Qadir, the village of Mukhtar and the village of Beit Latif."

The statement pointed out that "the operation resulted in the arrest of the wanted persons, the destruction of their hideouts, and the strengthening of security and stability in the district."
