CTS kills 4 ISIS terrorist in Nineveh and Kirkuk

    The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yehia Rasool, announced on Wednesday, the killing of 4 ISIS terrorist in Nineveh and Kirkuk.

    "According to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and to complete the operations to purge our land of the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs, the heroes in Counter Terrorism Service (CTS) were able to kill (3) of the ISIS gangs at dawn on Wednesday, in Sarklan district Kirkuk province,” Rasool said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    "This came after set up a tight intelligence ambush in which a direct hit was made with a shoulder-launched missile, which resulted in the killing of all these terrorists," Rasool added.

    "CTS carried out another operation to search one of the terrorists' hideouts in the Makhmour Mountains in Nineveh province, as it was able to kill the element responsible for guarding it Inside the den, our heroes found (- light weapons - medical materials - C4 (c4) and other explosive materials - Number silencers, thermal and daytime optics - hand grenades - cameras and hard drives with flash memory - mobile phones and charging batteries),”he explained.

    Rasool stressed that " CTS confirms through its qualitative operations, that target the hideouts and headquarters of ISIS terrorist leaders," noting that "the tactics announced by the agency's leadership have achieved changes in the operational arena and that the results of the resolution will be close with the cooperation of all security services."
