The Security Media Cell (SMC) announced on Tuesday, capturing 33 suspects, including two suspects of terrorism.
" Maysan Operations Command managed, yesterday, to arrest two suspects in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of Anti-Terrorism Law , and also arrested 28 suspects against whom various arrest warrants were issued, and 3 others with various charges ,”said SMC in a statement , received by the iraqi news agency (INA).
The statement also mentioned that “21 weapons, stores and various ammunitions were seized.”
Maysan Operations Command announced the seizure of large quantities of unlicensed weapons and ammunition in Qal'at Saleh district.
A statement by the Operations Command, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated: "According to the directives of the Maysan Operations Commander, Major General Mohammad Jassem Al-Zubaidi, a military force from the Third Regiment carried out a raid and search campaign in the Qala'at Saleh district, south of Al-Amarah."
"The search operation resulted in the seizure of large quantities of unlicensed weapons and ammunition," the statement added.
