Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi confirmed today, Sunday, that accepting the demands of the Sadrist bloc's deputies to resign from the House of Representatives response to the desire of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada, al-Sadr. Al-Halbousi stated in his tweet.
Al-Halbousi stated in his tweet, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "in compliance with the desire of His Eminence Sayyed Muqtada al-Sadr, we reluctantly accepted the requests of our brothers and sisters, the Sadrist bloc's representatives, to resign from the Iraqi parliament."
He added, "We have made a sincere and sincere effort to discourage His Eminence from this step, but he preferred to be sacrificing and not a crippling reason for the sake of the country and the people, so he decided to proceed with this decision."
