Sayyed Al-Hakim emphasizes the need to expedite government formation

The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, discussed with the Ambassador of the European Union to Iraq, Ville Varjola, the energy file, climate changes and bilateral relations.
 
The media office of the National Wisdom Movement stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Sayyed Al-Hakim received today in his office the Ambassador of the Ambassador of the European Union to Iraq, Ville Varjola, as they discussed number of issues including climate and energy files and bilateral relations between Iraq and the European Union."
 
According to the statement, Al-Hakim affirmed the importance of developing the relations with the European Union in a way that achieves the interests of all and preserves the country’s sovereignty and its internal decision, calling for exchanging the experiences in the field of climate, as its challenges will affect all the countries in the coming years, which requires the concerted efforts of all parties to address such a challenge.
 
Regarding the Iraqi political situation, Al-Hakim stressed the necessity of expediting the formation of the government, adopting the proposed initiatives, and giving priority to the public interest.
