PM Al-Kadhimi to Barzani: The government rejects all forms of terrorizing citizens

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi affirmed on Wednesday, that the government rejects all forms of terrorizing the citizens and attacking the law or the state.

Al-Kadhimi had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, regarding the attack by a drone on Erbil, according to the media office of the Prime Minister in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

"The attack on the city of Erbil, this evening, by a drone, translates the insistence of some to perpetuate the logic of chaos and strike the concepts of the state," said Al-Kadhimi, noting that "the government rejects all forms of terrorizing citizens and assaulting on the law and the state. The Iraqi government is continuing, in cooperation with the regional government, to pursue those that seek to destabilize."

For his part, Masrour Barzani stressed the importance of joint work to support stability and enhance security.

Both confirmed that the attack was an attempt to strike the joint coordination between Baghdad and Erbil, as to mix events and spread chaos."
