The Committee for Migration and Displacement counted today, Monday, the number of displacement camps in all governorates of the country, while confirming its efforts to end the displacement file during the current session and put forward a plan to implement the government program to achieve this goal.

Committee member Muhammad Rasoul Al-Rumaithi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Committee for Migration and Displacement seeks to completely end the file of the displaced during this parliamentary session in coordination with the concerned authorities," noting that "the number of camps throughout Iraq is 28, including 16 in Dohuk, 6 in Erbil, 4 in Sulaymaniyah, and 2 in Nineveh.

On the grant for the displaced, the committee member explained that "the grant was distributed to the displaced families only for some returnees, due to the lack of financial allocations which is allocated to the Ministry of Migration and Displacement," expressing his hope that "the grant for the displaced will be added within the 2022 budget, or included in the proposed food support law."
